Northtown Church is planning another Baby Shower for Care Net in February! Details to follow as things develop!
We will be EXTENDING our client 'give away'. Christmas went over so well, we've decided to separate a few 'extra special' items from our donations and give them away as drawings. (Each material client draws a card, and wins that prize.) The clients love 'winning' and we love being able to bless them, all thanks to our material donors! We are hoping to keep the drawings going throughout the year with different themes.
Christmas was GREAT this year! Each pregnant client who came in during the month of December was able to choose a scratch off ticket. Prizes revealed included gift bags from Bath and Body Works, Nail Polish kits, 4 different Mystery Packages consisting of various baby items, a bath package (for baby), a feeding package and a carrier package. All Christmas 'gifts' were donated by PARTNERS LIKE YOU! Thank you for helping bless our clients. They enjoyed getting gifts for themselves instead of just for baby, and the surprise of not knowing what gift they would get was fun as well! It sparked us to continue a similar 'give away' later this year!
Thank you to Mercy Hill church for donating the dresser filled with baby items!
Want to hear how our God works? We had a donor bring in a brand new NON-drop side crib. A few days later, Mercy Hill church brought in a 4 drawer dresser. Guess what? They match perfectly! (And no, the donor of the crib does not attend Mercy Hill.) We figure God did this so we could bless a woman in need. We've decided to pull together a few of our material donations, crib sheets etc., and make it a nursery package!

We can use people to clean, shred, file, run to the bank, sort clothing . . . not all our service opportunities involve talking to people! Give us a call and see how we can utilize your gifts!
Gratitude
11/11 - Church of Acts, in Waukesha, showered Care Net Pregnancy Center of Milwaukee with prayers and gifts and the love of Jesus Christ. When a church bands together and supports the Center, it 'revives' our ministry, reminding us that we aren't battleing alone, that God, AND His churches, are with us.
10/11 - Through a promotion between Tyndale Publishing, Care Net national and our Local Christian Family Bookstore, our Center received 12 cases of bibles to pass out to our clients! These are pocket-sized FULL bibles, Old and New Testament.
09/2011 - Once Upon A Child in Wauwatosa donated several large bags of infant summer clothing. Fardale Homes donated storage space. A few individual donors donated bins. Now, we are all set for Spring.
06/11 - Southbrook Church showed up last week and did a phenomenal job hanging pictures, installing locks, cleaning and painting. They will be coming back in a few weeks to work on a painting project in the hallway. THANKS SOUTHBROOK! The lobby is looking wonderful!
05/11 - St. Williams Parish in Waukesha, who have been supporting Care Net Pregnancy Center of Milwaukee since 2007, did a reverse collection and stocked our near empty shelves quite well! Stitches of Love Quilt Ministry of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Wauwatosa restocked our shelves with quilts and blankets. In addition, several individuals have made great material donations recently, making it possible to work an incentive piece into our parenting program.
Current Needs

- A small office chair (on wheels)
- New computers (call for details)
- Cash flow, a bill or two paid, rent, electric, literature, tickets to the National conference, underwriting the updates to the art work at the Center. . . general overhead and maintenence is ALWAYS needed.
